My Vision for IACFM
Community and family physicians play a pivotal role in growing the primary care  health facilities in this country and reaching each household to promote “Health for  All”. My vision is universal access to comprehensive and affordable care to patients,  no matter their sociodemographic or individual requirements. Family Physician is the  need of the hour for India.

My Background
I have extensive patient care experience as general physician within the rural  infrastructure of Bihar and West Bengal. Coupled with academic pursuit at medical  colleges across these two states, I wholeheartedly promote the importance of primary care reaching the last household in India, which aligns with the goals of this  association.
As an executive (non-elected) member of IACFM, I have taken lead in almost all the  academic events successfully in the past 3 years. Working with my wonderful  colleagues in this association, I have inculcated a camaraderie and passion to bring  people together. I actively listen, take the opinions of all members, thus aim to assist my team in making good informed decisions. Besides this, I have a cumulative of  more than 4 years of leadership and teaching experience at medical colleges.  Since being inducted into Community and Family Medicine, I have been involved in
patient care of rural area as a physician and mid-level manager at Rural Health Centres, and been a part of multiple large-scale health camps. I have worked in several community based research projects for infectious diseases, NCDs including  mental health, and nutrition across all age groups.

My future plans
