IACFM shares the vision of collaboration of Community physicians and Family physicians for the overall development of the health of our country

We are open to collaborating with any and all individuals & organizations in a multidisciplinary manner. Be it Family Medicine, Community Medicine, Epidemiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, General Medicine, Surgery, Endocrinology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopedics, PMR or any other discipline of the medical field.

The Healthy Indian Project

The Healthy Indian Project (THIP) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IACFM to develop an evidence-based digital patient education programme on adult vaccination. THIP is a preventive healthcare engagement platform and also a member of the World Health Organization's Vaccine Safety Net (VSN). As knowledge partner, IACFM will provide scientific guidance, academic oversight and clinical expertise to ensure the programme reflects current evidence and public health recommendations.

Make Medical Easy

A focused three-day offline certificate course in Kolkata was conducted for interns, postgraduate students and family medicine professionals which translated diabetology concepts into confident real-world clinical decisions. In collaboration with MME, with IACFM Treasurer Dr. Shuvro Bhattacharya.

Around 20 participants were present in this offline course, which was the first-of-its-kind organised by Dr. Shuvro with IACFM. Advanced courses regarding PGDIR are under discussion.

MERIT India

We are pleased to inform you that we are organizing a hands-on online workshop on "Binary and Multinomial Logistic Regression" in collaboration with MERIT India, from AIIMS Patna, on Feb 2-3, 2024. Joining us are esteemed speakers Prof. Pragya Kumar and Dr. Shamshad Ahmad, senior faculty from the Department of Community & Family Medicine. This workshop has 4 Credit points provided by the Bihar Council of Medical Registration.

With Cloud Palliative Care led by Dr. Vijayender, learn how palliative medicine can reach households and make lives easier, from the community perspective, as eminent Palliative Medicine consultants from Tata Medical Center Kolkata, and KCC-CCA at Kolhapur, Maharashtra, give valuable insights into the scope and future of Palliative care in Community and Family Medicine.

AFPI - Roles and Responsibilities of Family Physicians

The first Family Medicine webinar was held in collaboration with the Academy of Family Physicians of India, with its national President and founder, Dr. Raman Kumar, joining as the guest speaker. It was necessary to enumerate the range of comprehensive care that Family physicians give to the community. This CME had 4 Credit points given by the Bihar Council of Medical Registration.
